The Moon Cake.
'Geppei taberu?'
Ashinano, Hitoshi. 1998. Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. Chapter 35. Vol. 5, Page 49, Panel 5.
A 'geppei' is a Chinese round cake that resembles full moon. It is called "geppei" in Japanese, "yuebing" in Chinese, and "moon cake" in English.
There are several kinds of geppei. Here you can see some photos of popular geppei.
Chinese people enjoy yolk moon cakes in the mid-autumn moon festival. The yolk is salty and surrounding adzuki is sweet.
Small adzuki geppei is popular among Japanese people. I bet Alpha bought some adzuki geppei.
Coconut geppei smells good and tastes wonderful.
Japan's largest Chinatown is located in Yokohama. Geppei cakes are popular among people who visit there. They bring geppei home and give them to friends as 'omiyage'.
Alpha must have got her geppei at a Chinese food shop while she is in Yokohama. It seems that Chinese people are still there in Alpha's world and doing well.
Now, guys. Why don't you go to your nearest Chinatown or an online shopping site that sells Chinese foods? Get some mooncakes and enjoy!
